A versatile slow-cooked curry base made with Lioncroft Chopped/Peeled Tomatoes. Perfect for building curries and gravies.
| 1.Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. |
| 2.Cook on low-medium heat, stirring frequently, until the onions are soft and golden brown (about 15–20 minutes). |
| 3.Add garlic and ginger powder, cooking for 1 minute. |
| 4.Stir in cumin, coriander, turmeric and chilli powder. |
| 5.Add the chopped tomatoes and season with salt. |
| 6.Cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes break down and the oil separates. |
| 7.Use immediately as a base for chicken, lamb, paneer or vegetable curries. |
Use as a curry base and add your protein or vegetables of choice, then serve with rice or bread.
