Tamarind Cooking Paste

A homemade tamarind paste that adds tang and depth to curries, chutneys and marinades.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lioncroft Tamarind Slabs
  • 2 cups hot water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp Lioncroft Ginger Powder
Soak tamarind in hot water
Mash thoroughly
Strain pulp
Add salt and ginger
Store chilled

🍽️ Serving Suggestion

Use in chaat, fish curry, lentils and sweet chutneys.
