Sago Vada

Crispy, savory fritters made with Lioncroft Sago Seeds. Perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lioncroft Sago Seeds, soaked for 2 hours
  • 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Lioncroft Cumin Seeds
  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts, crushed
  • Fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Lioncroft Sunflower Oil for deep frying
1. Drain soaked sago and squeeze out excess water.
2. Mix sago with mashed potatoes, green chillies, cumin seeds, peanuts, coriander and salt.
3. Shape into small round patties or balls.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan.
5. Deep fry vadas until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
6. Drain on paper towels.

🍽️ Serving Suggestion

Serve hot with green chutney or sweet tamarind chutney.
