Moth Bean Tikki

Spiced, crispy patties made with Lioncroft Moth Beans. Perfect as a snack or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lioncroft Moth Beans, soaked overnight and boiled
  • 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Lioncroft Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Lioncroft Garam Masala
  • ½ tsp Lioncroft Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander, chopped
  • Lioncroft Sunflower Oil for shallow frying
1. Mash the boiled moth beans coarsely.
2. Mix with mashed potatoes, onion, green chillies, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, breadcrumbs, salt and coriander.
3. Shape into small round patties.
4. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry tikkis until golden brown on both sides.
5. Drain on paper towels.

🍽️ Serving Suggestion

Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
