Comfort dal with a tangy kick from Lioncroft Lime Pickle. Simple, quick and bursting with flavour. Serves: 4 people Total cooking time: 35 minutes
| 1. Cook dal with water and turmeric until soft and creamy (about 20-25 minutes). |
| 2. Add salt and chopped lime pickle, stirring well. |
| 3. In a small pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds and dried chillies. |
| 4. Add garlic slices and fry until golden. |
| 5. Pour this tempering over the dal. |
| 6. Garnish with fresh coriander. |
Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
