A South Indian-style tempered kala chana dish made with Lioncroft Kala Chana. Light, protein-rich and perfect for fasting days or healthy snacking. Serves: 4 people Total cooking time: 15 minutes
| 1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. |
| 2. When they splutter, add cumin seeds, dried red chillies and curry leaves. |
| 3. Add asafoetida and turmeric powder. |
| 4. Add the boiled kala chana and salt, tossing well to coat. |
| 5. Stir-fry on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. |
| 6. Add grated coconut and mix well. |
| 7. Garnish with fresh coriander. |
Serve warm or at room temperature as a healthy snack or side dish.
