Date & Nut Chutney

A sweet and tangy chutney made with Lioncroft Dried Dates. Perfect as a condiment with snacks and meals.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Lioncroft Dried Dates, pitted and chopped
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (white or apple cider)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Lioncroft Ground Cumin
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds or cashews)
1.In a saucepan, combine chopped dates, vinegar, sugar, cumin, chilli powder, salt and water.
2.Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes until dates are soft and the mixture thickens.
3.Mash lightly with a spoon or blend for a smoother texture.
4.Stir in chopped nuts.
5.Let cool and store in a clean jar.

🍽️ Serving Suggestion

Serve with samosas, pakoras, sandwiches or as a spread on toast.
