Crispy, golden fritters made with Lioncroft Chana Dal. Perfect as a snack or appetizer.
| 1. Drain the soaked chana dal and grind coarsely (do not add water; the batter should be thick). |
| 2. Transfer to a bowl and add onion, green chillies, cumin, turmeric, asafoetida, salt and coriander. |
| 3. Mix well. |
| 4. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. |
| 5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into hot oil. |
| 6. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. |
| 7. Drain on paper towels. |
Serve hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce and a cup of tea.
